Little Simz Announces New Album Lotus, Shares Video for New Song “Flood”: Watch


Little Simz has announced her sixth studio LP: Lotus arrives May 9 via AWAL. Today, the British rapper shares lead single “Flood,” which was produced by Miles Clinton James and features vocals from Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly. The track arrives with a striking black-and-white visual directed by Salomon Lighhelm. Check it out below.

Lotus follows Little Simz’s 2022 LP, No Thank You, as well as last year’s Drop 7 EP. Per press materials, Simz titled the new album Lotus as a symbol of renewal and growth.

In 2022, Little Simz won the prestigious Mercury Prize for her 2021 studio album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. She was recently named curator of the Meltdown festival’s 30th edition, which will take place in June at London’s Southbank Centre.
