The Armed to Play Bernie Sanders Rally in Michigan

The Armed’s next show is an unlikely opening spot for none other than U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. The experimental noise-punk band are slated to perform at his upcoming speaking event at a local high school in Warren, Michigan, on March 8. “Our next gig. Yes, really,” the band wrote on Instagram when sharing a flyer for the event, titled “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here.” Interested parties can RSVP for free at Sanders’ website.

Last fall, the Armed released the Everlasting Gaze EP, which features three new songs as well as remixes of “Sport of Form” by Idles, Water From Your Eyes, and Model/Actriz. The famously hijinks-loving band secretly hid a URL code to access it in vinyl copies of Perfect Saviors, their 2023 album, so technically it was available to listen before then for eagle-eyed fans, too.
