Lil Nas X Calls the Shots on Single ‘Big Dummy’

The fast-talking track is one of three new songs the rapper is sharing this week

Lil Nas X has shared a new single, “Big Dummy.” The song comes on the heels of his recent track “Dreamboy,” which arrived on Sunday night. Both are set to appear on his upcoming Dreamboy project.

“Big Dummy” arrives alongside a dynamic visual that sees the rapper performing alongside three dancers and singing into a pink microphone. “I’ma send this to the group chat,” he spits. “They gon’ be like, ‘Who’s that?’/I’ma be like, ‘Big X, dummy,’ now y’all know I’m comin’.”

Lil Nas X will also unveil “Hotbox,” another new song, on Friday. Last month, he teased “Hotbox” with a video posted on X, which features him dancing along to the song. His website announces that “It’s Hotbox Season” and features pre-save links, which promise “surprises” for those who sign up.

In November, Lil Nas X dropped “Light Again” and “Need Dat Boy.” Prior to that he, dropped collaborations with Camila Cabello (“He Knows”) and Kevin Abstract (“Tennessee“). So far, there’s no word on when Dreamboy will arrive in full. The LP is a follow-up Lil Nas X’s hit 2021 debut album, Montero, although the rapper has been actively teasing the album and his new songs on social media.
