Syd has returned. The singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, and leader of the Internet has shared her first solo song in three years, “Die for This,” ahead of her imminent tour supporting Billie Eilish in North America. Check out the single below.
Later in the year, Syd will head out on another run of support dates, this time with Reneé Rapp. Her last album, Broken Hearts Club, came out in 2022. Since then, she was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards for her work on Beyoncé’s Renaissance. (Syd co-wrote “Plastic Off the Sofa,” which won Best Traditional R&B Performance.) She also recently collaborated with Moses Sumney and Meshell Ndegeocello on “Hey Girl(s).”
