The artist pushed back the release of Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/em> to Jan. 31<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tThe Weeknd<\/a> has postponed the release of his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow,<\/em> and canceled his Rose Bowl Stadium concert following the relentless wildfires that are decimating the Los Angeles area. He announced that he pushed back his album release date <\/a>from Jan. 24 to Jan. 31, and canceled his one-night stadium show in Pasadena, California, set for Jan. 25. The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, said he made the decision \u201cout of respect and concern of the people in Los Angeles county\u201d in a social media post Monday. A new show date has not been announced.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time,\u201d he wrote in the Instagram post. <\/p>\n \n\tHurry Up Tomorrow<\/em> marks the last installment in his musical trilogy that includes 2022\u2019s Dawn FM <\/em>and 2020\u2019s After Hours. <\/em>As part of his forthcoming project, Hurry Up Tomorrow<\/em>, he has released three music videos: \u201cDancing in the Flames<\/a>,\u201d \u201cTimeless<\/a>\u201d with Playboi Carti, and \u201cS\u00e3o Paulo<\/a>\u201d with Anitta.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cMy focus remains on supporting the recovery of these communities and aiding its incredible people as they rebuild,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n \n\tThe \u201cStarboy\u201d singer announced last month that the next installment in the trilogy would include a tour and\u00a0a \u201cmusically driven psychological thriller<\/a>,\u201d starring Jenna Ortega<\/a> and Barry Keoghan<\/a>. The film, which shares the same name as the album, is directed by Trey Edward Shults and will release May 16.<\/p>\n \n\tThe Weeknd\u2019s canceled concert is among a slew of other live performances that have been nixed due to the ongoing wildfires, which have damaged more than 12,000 structures and killed at least 24 people.<\/a> Last week, Rod Wave\u2019s show<\/a>, indie pop band Bad Bad Hats\u2019 concert, and Cody Fry\u2019s performance with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra were postponed due to the wildfires blazing the Los Angeles region.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
