The event is slated for Jan. 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIt will also feature Zac Brown, Sierra Ferrell, Mick Fleetwood with Stewart Copeland, Dave Matthews, Sammy Hagar, Bruce Hornsby, Norah Jones, Dave Matthews, My Morning Jacket, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/billy-strings\/\" id=\"auto-tag_billy-strings\" data-tag=\"billy-strings\">Billy Strings<\/a>, the War on Drugs, the War and Treaty, Wynonna Judd, and Dwight Yoakam, <em>RS <\/em>can confirm, among others. (<em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/music-news\/musicares-grateful-dead-tribute-lineup-revealed-noah-kahan-maren-morris-billy-strings-1236112555\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> was the first to report the lineup.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tDead &amp; Company \u2014 which plays Grateful Dead\u2019s music \u2014 currently includes Grateful Dead co-founders Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, alongside Mayer, Jay Lane, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti. The event will likely honor founding bassist Phil Lesh, who<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/phil-lesh-grateful-dead-dead-1234809976\/\"> died in October<\/a> at age 85. August 2025 also marks the 35th anniversary of the death of Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead\u2019s lead songwriter and guitarist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe MusiCares event is one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/recording-academy-grammy-week-schedule-revised-los-angeles-fires-1235236832\/\">few official Grammys parties<\/a> to remain scheduled after numerous others \u2014 including Spotify\u2019s Best New Artist showcase \u2014 were canceled to focus efforts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/2025-grammys-will-proceed-as-planned-recording-academy-ceo-says-1235233912\/\">raising money<\/a> for those affected by the Los Angeles fires. MusiCares, the Academy\u2019s non-profit established to help the music community in times of struggle such as disasters or health care, has already raised $2 million in wildfire relief funds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tGrateful Dead join a long list of previous honorees, including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Carole King, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, and Barbra Streisand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThis marks only the third time a band (as opposed to a single artist) has received MusiCares\u2019 annual award, following Fleetwood Mac in 2018 and Aerosmith in 2020.
