The Moment <\/em>is based on an original idea from Charli<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tA24 is building its own Brat pack: Charli XCX<\/a> will produce and star in The Moment,<\/em> the feature directorial debut from photographer Aidan Zamiri with a score from A.G. Cook.<\/p>\n \n\tCharli developed the original idea the film is based on, which was adapted into a screenplay by Zamiri and Bertie Brandes. The Moment <\/em>will be produced through the musician\u2019s production company Studio365, marking its first major project. David Hinojosa\u2019s production company 2AM is also attached.<\/p>\n \n\tLast year, Charli told Billboard<\/a> <\/em>she had three weeks booked off to work on writing a film in Poland. She wouldn\u2019t share who she was working with at the time. \u201cWell, I don\u2019t really know if I should say because I also don\u2019t know if we\u2019re going to do it,\u201d she said. \u201cWe might actually just go to Poland and not do that, but that is the idea.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe explained that the film, should it come to fruition, would take place in Poland. \u201cWe would write it and shoot it at the same time, kind of like making an album,\u201d Charli explained. \u201cOne of the guys is the director \u2014 he works that way all the time.\u201d She was likely referring to Zamiri, who has a reputation for working quickly. He previously directed music videos for the Brat <\/em>singles \u201c360<\/a>\u201d and \u201cGuess<\/a>\u201d featuring Billie Eilish, which Eilish told Vanity Fair<\/a> <\/em>was edited and released within days of shooting (Zamiri directed her \u201cBirds of a Feather<\/a>\u201d video, too).<\/p>\n \n\tCharli\u2019s cinephile side took over social media for a few days after fans discovered her Letterboxd account. The discovery revealed reviews of Moneyball <\/em>(\u201cThis isn\u2019t for British people\u201d), A Complete Unknown<\/em> (\u201cThere were a lot of songs in this\u201d), and Challengers<\/em> (\u201cWas so amped after watching this I ended up going out til 5am\u201d), among more than 200 others.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
