Detroit rapper plays Morpheus in their rendition of the red or blue pill scene<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\n\tWill Smith<\/a> has dropped another breadcrumb about his upcoming single \u201cBeautiful Scars,\u201d which he\u2019s been teasing with videos inspired by The Matrix<\/em>. In the new trailer, he teams up with song collaborator Big Sean<\/a>. The duo reenacts the famous red or blue pill choice Neo faces in the film, which harkens back to Smith originally passing up the role made famous by Keanu Reeves.<\/p>\n \n\tIn the new clip, Big Sean portrays the Morpheus character (played by Laurence Fishburne in the franchise) to Smith\u2019s Neo. \u201cLook, you\u2019ve made some awesome career choices your whole life. There\u2019s only one you truly regret. Well, maybe two, but we\u2019re not gonna focus on that one,\u201d Big Sean tells Will, ostensibly referring to his infamous Oscars slap<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSo, I\u2019m gonna give you a choice. Blue pill, everything remains the same, and you get to move on with your life. Red pill, you get to go back and star in that movie that got away. The choice is yours.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAfter Smith contemplates the choice, he decides he won\u2019t miss either opportunity. \u201cHere\u2019s the thing, I really like my life right now,\u201d Smith says, before choosing to take both pills simultaneously. \u201cShit, that wasn\u2019t even an option,\u201d Big Sean quips. The clip ends with the release date for Smith\u2019s new single \u201cBeautiful Scars\u201d featuring Big Sean, which arrives on Jan. 30.<\/p>\n
