\n\tDaniel Seavey<\/a> made an album that is completely true to who he is. On Monday, the musician announced that he\u2019ll release his debut solo album, Second Wind<\/em>, on March 7, three years after his band Why Don\u2019t We went on hiatus.<\/a><\/p>\n \n\t\u201c2 years in the making and we\u2019re finally here,\u201d he wrote on Instagram, where he shared the beachy album cover. \u201cI have so much to say but most of all I want to thank you for taking the time out of your life to care about mine.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve always dreamed of making an album that just felt 100% like me from top to bottom and that\u2019s exactly what this album is,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s so much more to say but for now I just want to say thank you so much for sticking by me on this wild journey and I cannot wait for you to hear everything.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe LP, a collaboration with producer Michael Pollack, will hear Seavey pull from \u201cearly-aughts, pop-rock inspirations,\u201d and follows his 2023 EP, Dancing in the Dark<\/em>. The new 12-track album includes songs such as \u201cSleeping With the Lights On,\u201d \u201cSunny Isles,\u201d \u201cWaves,\u201d and its title track, which will drop this week.<\/p>\n \n\t \u201cFor myself and for my sanity, I\u2019m going to be so authentically me,\u201d he told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> in early 2023 as he kicked off his first solo tour. \u201cIf it hurts me, I can at least die knowing I did that for myself because I needed to.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLast fall, Seavey started his solo album era, releasing singles \u201cGateway Drug\u201d and \u201cIf I Ever Go to Heaven.\u201d He also joined Dean Lewis on \u201cFix You\u201d and Destiny Rogers on \u201cPray for Me<\/a>\u201d last year.
