Luke Combs<\/a> as we all know is on one hell of a redneck roll. With his streak of No. 1 songs, he is well on his way up the country music totem poll of historic figures.<\/p>\n Sitting atop the genre is the King, George Strait<\/a>. We recently has the chance to talk to Combs about Strait, and he dropped a fact on us that we had no clue about.<\/p>\n The “Hurricane” singer told Taste of Country’s Adison Haager that he has something on his bucket list that is frustrating him, because he is seemingly not able to attain it.<\/p>\n “I would like to run into George Strait, I’ve never met George Strait, ever. I feel like everyone in the world has, and I haven’t.”<\/p>\n Then Combs took it to the next level and admitted, “I’m at the point where I’m salty about it.”<\/p>\n How could someone like Combs, who dominates country music currently, not ever even run into King George?<\/p>\n Not that we don’t take his word for it, but we had to Google it and search around, and indeed, these two country music powerhouses have never met in the flesh.<\/p>\n The “Even Though I’m Leaving” singer admitted that if he got to knock that off of his bucket list, “That would be cool, yeah!”<\/p>\n With artists like George Birge<\/a>, Scotty McCreery<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Parker McCollum<\/a> all recently telling us<\/a> here at Taste of Country about their experience meeting the “Check Yes or No” legend, we can see why Combs is salty that he hasn’t gotten his turn yet.<\/p>\n George Strait is the undisputed King of Country. With a career spanning over 40 years, he has charted more than 60 No. 1 country songs and has more No. 1 hits than any other artist <\/em>in a single genre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Gallery Credit: Evan Paul<\/p>\n<\/div>\n George Strait has sold his one-of-a-kind mansion in Texas, and it was actually a real deal. The country legend asked $6.9 million for his 7,925-square-foot home that includes three bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths on a hilltop in a very exclusive area of San Antonio. The final selling price was not disclosed.<\/p>\n The house sits on 12.2 acres and includes a gourmet kitchen, separate his and her bathrooms and closets and 14 hand-sculpted masonry fireplaces. The main house is wired for surround sound throughout, and it also features outdoor living spaces including a patio with built-in grill, sink, icemaker and refrigerator.
