\n\tJoni Mitchell<\/a> led a Joni Jam session onstage<\/a> at the Hollywood Bowl over the weekend \u2014 but also backstage. On Tuesday, Brandi Carlile<\/a> shared a video of numerous stars, including Mitchell, Lucy Dacus, Chappell Roan<\/a>, and Elton John<\/a> himself, singing along to the Rocket Man\u2019s \u201cI\u2019m Still Standing.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tTim Hanseroth, Blake Mills, and Allison Russell also joined Roan, Dacus, and John. They clapped along and played guitar to the classic 1983 song. In the video, Mitchell could be seen dancing with her cane, as Roan and Carlile snapped their fingers.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cBackstage antics at the Hollywood Bowl,\u201d Carlile captioned the post.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cPickin\u2019 up the pieces of my life without you on my mind,\u201d John could be heard singing the classic lyrics with the other stars backing him up. Carlile also shared a photo of herself with Dacus, Roan, John, and Mitchell with the silly caption: \u201c@jonimitchell with the full backing of the gay mafia.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBefore the photo and backstage jam session, Mitchell headlined the Hollywood Bowl, bringing out myriad celebrities and musicians, including Meryl Streep, Jon Batiste, Jacob Collier, Lisa Coleman, and Rita Wilson.<\/p>\n \n\tDuring the second set of her performance, she welcomed Marcus Mumford for a duet of \u201cCalifornia,\u201d Eurythmics\u2019 Annie Lennox for \u201cLadies of the Canyon,\u201d and John for a \u201cJoni version\u201d of \u201cI\u2019m Still Standing.\u201d Among her hits performed were \u201cDog Eat Dog,\u201d \u201cIf,\u201d \u201cBoth Sides, Now,\u201d and \u201cThe Circle Game.\u201d<\/p>\n
