\n\tAnitta<\/a> will no longer perform at Coachella<\/a> 2025. On Thursday, the Brazilian icon announced that she is stepping away from this year\u2019s festival lineup <\/a>over \u201cunexpected personal reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was really looking forward to being at Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I won\u2019t be able to perform,\u201d Anitta wrote<\/a> on X. \u201cI\u2019m truly grateful to the festival for the invitation, their understanding, and continued support.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued: \u201cI hope to have the opportunity to join you all in the future and share that special moment together.\u201d (Coachella organizers have yet to address Anitta\u2019s announcement.)<\/p>\n

\n\t2025 would\u2019ve marked Anitta\u2019s third appearance at the festival: She joined Peso Pluma during his set for a sexy performance of \u201cBellakeo<\/a>\u201d at the 2024 edition, and she hosted a high-octane, sunset-backed performance during Coachella 2022<\/a>. The singer brought out Saweetie and Snoop Dogg during her performance that year.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnitta\u2019s next scheduled performance is at Baja Beach Fest in Rosarito, Mexico in early August. The singer is set to release her Netflix documentary Larissa<\/em><\/a> this month. This year\u2019s Coachella lineup featured a long list of Latino acts, including Anitta\u2019s Brazilian collaborator Alok<\/a>, the Marias, Ca7riel & Maco Amoroso, Rawayana, Arca, and Mexican singers Ivan Cornejo<\/a> and Junior H.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnitta performed several times earlier this year at Brazil\u2019s Carnaval and released single \u201cRomeo\u201d last month. Her Coachella performance would have celebrated last year\u2019s\u00a0Funk Generation,\u00a0<\/em>her excellent first album with Republic Records<\/a>. \u201cTo be the pioneer is very hard because you\u2019re doing something nobody has done, so you don\u2019t have an example to follow,\u201d Anitta told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> last year. \u201cYou need to trust your gut, your feelings, and your intuition.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
