\n\tIn case 30 new songs wasn\u2019t enough<\/a>, Playboi Carti<\/a> has added four more to the new deluxe edition of his latest album<\/a>, Music<\/em> \u2013 Sorry 4 Da Wait<\/em>, out today March 25.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe four additional tracks aren\u2019t exactly new, though their arrival on Sorry 4 Da Wait <\/em>makes them widely available on streaming for the first time. \u201cDifferent Day,\u201d for example, was first released way back in December 2023, and actually marked Carti\u2019s first solo offering since his 2020 album Whole Lotta Red<\/a><\/em>. Prior to being included on Sorry 4 Da Wait<\/em>, it appeared on Music \u2013 V1<\/em>, one of three digital download versions of the album for sale on Carti\u2019s website.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tSimilarly, \u201c2024\u201d was released in 2023, while \u201cBackr00ms\u201d featuring Travis Scott dropped at the top of 2024; both of those songs appeared on Music \u2013 V2<\/em>. Playboi Carti teased the last additional Sorry 4 Da Wait <\/em>track, \u201cFOMDJ,\u201d at a couple of live performances last year, but the studio version didn\u2019t officially arrive until it was included Music \u2013 V3<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe arrival of Sorry 4 Da Wait<\/em> also coincides with the news that Playboi Carti made Billboard<\/em> chart history with Music<\/a><\/em>. The album is not only his second Number One album<\/a> on the Billboard <\/em>200, but all 30 tracks from the LP debuted on the Hot 100, making Carti the first rapper in history to place 30 or more songs on the chart simultaneously. The only other artists to achieve that feat are Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn fact, Carti actually has 31 songs on the Hot 100 currently thanks to his collaboration with the Weeknd, \u201cTimeless.\u201d But even if \u201cTimeless,\u201d the four additional Sorry 4 Da Wait <\/em>tracks, and the original 30 Music<\/em> songs remain on the Hot 100 next week, it won\u2019t be enough for Carti to secure the record for most songs simultaneously on the chart: His total would be 35, just below Wallen\u2019s record of 36, set back in 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
