\n\tMatt Pinfield<\/a> gave a health update over the weekend while announcing news he\u2019ll be making an upcoming welcome appearance after suffering a stroke<\/a> earlier this year followed by a months-long coma.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSlowly but surely recovering..lots of physical therapy..Fighting my way back!! One day at a time,\u201d the radio host and former MTV VJ wrote on Friday via a caption on Instagram. The post included the announcement that he will serve as the host of Green Day<\/a>\u2019s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, which takes place on May 1 at 11:30 a.m. PT.<\/p>\n \n\tThe former\u00a0120 Minutes<\/em>\u00a0host, 63, suffered a stroke on Jan. 6. In March, he told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that in late February he had been released from the ICU. \u201cGuys, I\u2019m alive,\u201d he said<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m recovering and am going to come back swinging. I was unresponsive for two months. Friends were thinking they were coming to see me for the last time. The doctors never expected me to speak or to walk again.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHe added that his daughter Jessica saved his life after she served temporary guardianship over his medical and financial decisions. \u201cShe protected me,\u201d Pinfield told THR<\/em>.<\/p>\n
