You can do better\u2019\u2026. It\u2019s kind of annoying to live life that way, but I just want to be, like, the number one. I must have had five albums in those four years that I was just like, \u2018No, no, no, not good enough. I really want it. Because it just reminds me of home. And also I think the more I travel and the older I get, I wanna be reminded of home and my roots and a Swedish summer night.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t<strong>Her new single\u2019s hard-hitting dance beats are something of an anomaly in current U.S. pop \u2014 but Larsson isn\u2019t trying to follow trends. <\/strong>\u00a0\u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t really give a fuck what other people are doing,\u201d she says with a laugh. When she\u2019s recording, she adds, \u201cI usually go into podcast mode, like I listen to a lot of podcasts and a lot of ASMR and just kind of tune out from what everyone else is releasing and doing. I thought it would be [2015\u2019s] \u2018Lush Life!&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>She\u2019s not thrilled about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/dr-luke\/\" id=\"auto-tag_dr-luke\" data-tag=\"dr-luke\">Dr. Luke<\/a>\u2018s return to working with mainstream artists.<\/strong> \u201cI\u2019m like, why?\u201d she says. \u201cThere\u2019s a million other people. Is it really, really important for him to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/did-katy-perry-womans-world-worst-comebacks-of-all-time-podcast-1235066197\/\">come back<\/a>? I don\u2019t think so. I personally wouldn\u2019t do it because what is he gonna do for me or for anyone else? I think that the most powerful thing you can do is to actually put your money where your mouth is and work with women and hire women and do all of that.
