The surprise appearance in Paris marked the live premiere of the ‘Cowboy Carter’ duet <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\tMiley Cyrus <\/a>joined Beyonc\u00e9 <\/a>onstage at the Stade de France in Paris<\/a> on Thursday night for the live premiere of \u201cII Most Wanted.\u201d The two friends, both dressed in shimmering gold outfits, held hands as they belted the duet to throngs of screaming fans. Though this marks the first guest on the Cowboy Carter<\/a><\/em> tour<\/a>, the appearance wasn\u2019t entirely a surprise \u2014\u00a0Cyrus, who was in France for Spotify\u2019s Billions Club Live<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 had been seen at soundcheck <\/a>before the show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe duet<\/a> originally appeared on Cowboy Carter<\/em>, and this performance was the first time Beyonc\u00e9 had performed it on the tour<\/a>, which launched in Los Angeles in April <\/a>and is set to run through July 26.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe track, co-written by the two artists, ended up on Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s country album after the \u201cCrazy in Love\u201d singer hit Cyrus up to see if she might want to contribute. \u201cI wrote that song, like, two and a half years ago,\u201d Cyrus told W<\/em> magazine <\/a>last year. \u201cMy mom would always go, \u2018I love that song so much.\u2019 So when Beyonc\u00e9 reached out to me about music, I thought of it right away because it really encompasses our relationship. I told her, \u2018We don\u2019t have to get \u00adcountry; we are country. We\u2019ve been country.\u2019 I said, \u2018You know, between you being from Texas and me being from Tennessee, so much of us is going to be in this song.\u2019 Getting to write a song, not just sing, for Beyonc\u00e9 was a dream come true.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
