Foo Fighters<\/a> have returned with \u201cToday\u2019s Song<\/a>,\u201d their first new song in nearly two years. It follows the band\u2019s 2023 full-length, But Here We Are<\/em><\/a>\u2014their first album without the late drummer<\/a> Taylor Hawkins<\/a>\u2014and the newly shared cover of Minor Threat\u2019s \u201cI Don\u2019t Wanna Hear It<\/a>.\u201d Listen to Foo Fighters\u2019 new single below.<\/p>\n Foo Fighters parted ways<\/a> with Josh Freese, who took over<\/a> on drums following Hawkins\u2019 death, back in May of this year\u2014much to his confusion<\/a>. A press release for \u201cToday\u2019s Song\u201d does not specify who is playing drums on the new single. It does, however, specify that the Foo Fighters lineup has otherwise remained unchanged, with Grohl on lead vocals and guitar, Nate Mendel on bass, Pat Smear on guitar, Chris Shiflett on guitar and backing vocals, and Rami Jaffee on keyboards.<\/p>\n In a statement shared online, Dave Grohl wrote, \u201cIt should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl, and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese, this story would be incomplete, so we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music, and memories that we shared with each of them over the years.
