\n\tWe\u2019re three years away from Sam Mendes<\/a>\u2018 Beatles movie project<\/a>, a massive undertaking in which he\u2019ll direct four different films<\/a> from each of the Fab Four\u2019s perspective. As expected, it doesn\u2019t come easy: Ringo Starr<\/a> recently revealed he gave extensive notes to the director on his script, where he\u2019s portrayed by Barry Keoghan.<\/p>\n \n\tIn an interview with The New York Times<\/a><\/em>, Starr said that he flew to London to meet Mendes and spent two days going over the script with him, line by line. Starr requested that parts be rewritten, specifically involving scenes with his family and his first wife, Maureen Starkey Tigrett. \u201cHe had a writer \u2014 very good writer, great reputation, and he wrote it great, but it had nothing to do with Maureen and I,\u201d Starr said. \u201cThat\u2019s not how we were. I\u2019d say, \u2018We would never do that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tStarr, who is currently promoting his country album Look Up<\/a><\/em>, told the outlet that he\u2019s now more satisfied with the script, and gave Mendes his signature send-off: \u201cHe\u2019ll do what he\u2019s doing,\u201d he said, \u201cand I\u2019ll send him peace and love.\u201d<\/p>\n
