But country songs of dissent, that dare to question or call out the nation\u2019s flaws, require some digging \u2014 unless you subscribe<\/a> to Don\u2019t Rock the Inbox, which this week shared an expertly curated \u201cAnti-Patriotic Playlist.\u201d <\/a>Add Nashville singer-songwriter Matthew Szlachetka<\/a> and his song \u201cun-American Dream\u201d to that list.<\/p>\n \n\tWritten with Paul Stephens and performed by Szlachetka (he makes music under his Polish surname), \u201cun-American Dream\u201d takes an unflinching look at the current state and direction of the country. It\u2019s not a \u201clet\u2019s get along\u201d song<\/a>, but rather one that boldly says this shit ain\u2019t right.
