\n\tKelly Clarkson<\/a> postponed her Las Vegas residency<\/a> hours before its first show Friday as the singer revealed that preparing for the shows has \u201ctaken a toll on my voice.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe singer and daytime talk show host was scheduled to begin her Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4th. However, hours before showtime Friday, Clarkson posted on social media that both of this weekend\u2019s opening gigs were off.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe have been working 24\/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans.\u00a0I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow\u2019s opening at Caesars,\u201d Clarkson wrote.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y\u2019all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve. The show is truly incredible.\u00a0 \u00a0The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tClarkson is hopeful that the vocal issues are only temporary, as she\u2019s already aiming to open the residency next weekend. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to be back next weekend and show y\u2019all what we\u2019ve been working on,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
