The punk rock band took aim at the president during a concert in Belgium on the Fourth of July<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\tBillie Joe Armstrong<\/a> celebrated the Fourth of July by criticizing the current president. During a concert at Rock Werchter in Belgium over the weekend, the Green Day<\/a> frontman led the audience in a chant of \u201cFuck Donald Trump<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe punk band opened their set with \u201cAmerican Idiot,\u201d during which Armstrong tweaked the lyrics to say \u201cI\u2019m not a part of the MAGA agenda\u201d\u2014a common alteration during recent Green Day shows. The musicians transitioned into \u201cHoliday\u201d and urged the crowd to join them as they shouted \u201cfuck Donald Trump\u201d during an extended jam. <\/p>\n

\n\tArmstrong has been a vocal critic of Trump and his policies, often using Green Day shows as an opportunity to call out the president and his allies. In June, the frontman told<\/a> Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the\u00a0Trump administration\u00a0to \u201cfuck off\u201d in support of the thousands of the Los Angeles-area residents who had been protesting raids against the immigrant community.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAmerican Idiot\u201d was originally written about George W. Bush\u2019s presidential administration. During\u00a0New Year\u2019s Rockin\u2019 Eve<\/em>\u00a0this year, Green Day notably sang, \u201cnot a part of the MAGA agenda.\u201d\u00a0Following the election in January, Armstrong also took aim at Elon Musk. While performing \u201cAmerican Idiot\u201d in Johannesburg, South Africa, the band switched the lyrics<\/a> to fire at the Tesla and X CEO: \u201cI\u2019m not a part of the Elon agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
