The final album from legendary outsider folk artist Michael Hurley<\/a> is set to be released posthumously. Mastered just two weeks before Hurley\u2019s death<\/a> earlier this year, Broken Homes and Gardens<\/em> is out September 12 via No Quarter<\/a>. He had last shared a new studio album, The Time of Foxgloves<\/em><\/a>, in 2021, with work on Broken Homes and Gardens<\/em> beginning shortly thereafter. The record features a combination of new material and re-recordings of older songs, including \u201cIndian Chiefs & Hula Girls,\u201d from 1987\u2019s Watertower<\/em>, and \u201cThe Abominable Snowman,\u201d from 1995\u2019s Parsnip Snips<\/em>.
