The track begins with Winter\u2019s distinct vocals warbling and wobbling over a tender percussion groove. More instruments start to sift in, and then, halfway through, the song erupts with a bright burst of guitars: \u201cDoctor, doctor, heal yourself,\u201d Winter yelps, \u201cAnd I will break my own heart\/I will break my own heart from now on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAccompanying \u201cTaxes\u201d is a new music video, which begins with a camera pushing its way through a packed crowd at a Geese concert. The album marks Geese\u2019s third proper studio album and first since 2023\u2019s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/geese-3d-country-1234775721\/\">3D Country<\/a><\/em> (which featured on <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s list of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-indie-rock-albums-2023-1234927831\/geese-3d-country-1234928269\/\">40 Best Indie-Rock Albums<\/a> of that year). In 2024, they released their first live album, <em>Alive &amp; In Person.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tGeese already have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/geese-getting-killed-tour-dates-fall-2025-1235369089\/\">North American headlining tour<\/a> lined up in support of <em>Getting Killed<\/em>, which starts Oct. 10 in South Burlington, Vermont and wraps with a pair of hometown shows at the Paramount in Brooklyn on Nov. 20 and 21. Many of the shows have already sold out, while a handful of additional dates have been added in some cities.
