Parker McCollum<\/a> is a car guy and a big\u00a0Vince Gill<\/a> fan,\u00a0so the “What Kinda Man” singer knew exactly what he wanted to listen to first when he got a\u00a0new car recently.<\/p>\n McCollum was a guest on Taste of Country Nights, <\/em>and we asked him to gush about his latest splurge purchase.<\/p>\n “I’ve always wanted a Corvette Z06, manual, since I was a kid \u2014 so I bought one of those,” McCollum reveals.<\/p>\n As he was driving it home right after he bought it, he put on Gill’s “Pretty Little Adrianna” and listened to it “45 times in a row.”<\/p>\n He didn’t stop with country.<\/p>\n “I like Aerosmith in the Corvette,” he says. “I like listening to The Band in the Corvette. I feel like you can’t drive that car and not<\/em> have the music blaring.”<\/p>\n When home in Texas, if McCollum isn’t spending quality time with his wife, Hallie Ray, and his little boy, Major, you can find him whipping down backroads in his\u00a02016 Corvette Z06, pumping out the best old school jams through its speakers.<\/p>\n But the “Pretty Heart” singer would rather you not<\/em> be around when he exits his Corvette.<\/p>\n “Getting out of it doesn’t look nearly as cool as getting in it,” McCollum hilariously shares.<\/p>\n He\u00a0just released his fifth studio album, the self-titled Parker McCollum<\/em>, on June 27. He is currently touring across America on his What Kinda Man Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n Is Parker McCollum the next generation’s George Strait? Fans are starting to think so and the fact that these two are both from the state of Texas is certainly adding fuel to the fire. Even McCollum’s outfits are starting to resemble the King’s. The country legend asked $6.9 million for his 7,925-square-foot home that includes three bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths on a hilltop in a very exclusive area of San Antonio. The final selling price was not disclosed.<\/p>\n The house sits on 12.2 acres and includes a gourmet kitchen, separate his and her bathrooms and closets and 14 hand-sculpted masonry fireplaces. The main house is wired for surround sound throughout, and it also features outdoor living spaces including a patio with built-in grill, sink, icemaker and refrigerator.
