\n\tThe Goo Goo Dolls<\/a> will take the stage for a good cause this fall: The band is planning to headline the\u00a0Children\u2019s Diabetes Foundation (CDF)\u2019s Carousel Ball, which will take place on Oct. 11 and benefits research aimed at preventing and curing type 1 diabetes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re excited to take the stage at the Carousel Ball and support an amazing cause. The progress the Children\u2019s Diabetes Foundation has made in diabetes research and patient care has brought new hope to countless families and we\u2019re honored to be a part of their special night,\u201d Goo Goo Dolls bandmates\u00a0John Rzeznik\u00a0and Robby Takac said in a statement. \u201cWe hope you\u2019ll rock out with us October 11 in Denver!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis year\u2019s Carousel Ball will also honor singer-songwriter\u00a0Neil Diamond<\/a>, who will receive the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award at the gala. Diamond has been a longtime supporter of the foundation has performed at the event the past. Proceeds from the event go to the \u00a0the Colorado-based\u00a0Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor over 35 years, Neil has lent his timeless voice to our efforts to find a cure for diabetes. On behalf of the patients and researchers his generosity has touched, we can\u2019t think of anyone more deserving of our Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award,\u201d event chair Dana Davis and honorary chair Barbara Davis said in a statement. The MacMillan family\u00a0will receive the High Hopes Tribute Award.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRzeznik, who had to cancel several shows in South Africa last year due to pneumonia, kicked off 2025 by performing at \u00a0Bob\u2019s Birthday Bash at WinterFest 2025<\/a>\u00a0in January. The band then played a run of shows in Australia in February and March.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
