Khlo\u00e9 in Wonder Land <\/em>podcast<\/a>, the singer discussed the impact of songwriting and why she\u2019s putting it on \u201chold\u201d for now. <\/p>\n\n\t\u201cEverything begins with a story or a song. Every movie, you\u2019ve got to have a great story. It doesn\u2019t matter how great the actress is or the actor, doesn\u2019t matter how great the director is \u2014\u00a0if you don\u2019t have a good story, you don\u2019t have a project,\u201d said Parton. \u201cSame with a song, all the great singers \u2014 some of them write, some of them don\u2019t \u2014 but you\u2019ve got to have a great song.\u201d She added, \u201cSo I think that\u2019s one of the reasons I love to to write, because I feel like I\u2019m so connected to God right then.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tWhen asked by host Kardashian if she\u2019s ever had writer\u2019s block or hasn\u2019t been able to finish a song, Parton replied, \u201cMy husband passed away three months ago. \u2026 Several things I\u2019ve wanted to start, but I can\u2019t do it. I will later, but I\u2019m just coming up with such wonderful, beautiful ideas. But I think I won\u2019t finish it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tParton continued, \u201cI can\u2019t do it right now because I\u2019ve got so many other things that I can\u2019t afford the luxury of getting that emotional right now. So there are times like that, things like that that will start here a little bit, but I\u2019ll write something else, though, if it comes. So I\u2019m just putting that all on hold.\u201d<\/p>\n
