Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> might be done performing live, but he’s still got more to say. The Prince of Darkness will release a new memoir titled\u00a0Last Rites<\/em> on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n Last Rites<\/em>\u00a0marks Osbourne’s second memoir, following\u00a02009’s I Am Ozzy<\/i>. It’s available to preorder<\/a> now. You can see a brief trailer for the\u00a0memoir below.<\/p>\n The book will detail\u00a0the various health issues Osbourne has faced over the past\u00a0several years (including a Parkinson’s diagnosis<\/a> that he\u00a0revealed in 2020), which ultimately forced him to retire\u00a0from\u00a0the road. But\u00a0Last Rites<\/em> will also\u00a0shine a light on Osbourne’s turbulent marriage to his wife and manager, Sharon<\/a>, preparations for the Back to the Beginning farewell concert<\/a> and other aspects of his life and career.<\/p>\n As one of the most iconic figures in rock history, Osbourne has rubbed elbows with just about every rock and metal star imaginable. I\u2019m like, fuck no,” Osbourne said in a statement regarding Last Rites<\/em>. “If I\u2019d been clean and sober, I wouldn\u2019t be Ozzy. If I\u2019d done normal, sensible things, I wouldn\u2019t be Ozzy. Look, if it ends tomorrow, I can\u2019t complain. I\u2019ve been all around the world. Seen a lot of things. I\u2019ve done good \u2026 and I\u2019ve done bad. But right now, I\u2019m not ready to go anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n Osbourne’s Last Rites<\/em> announcement comes less than a week after his triumphant farewell performance at the Back to the Beginning concert in his native Birmingham, England.
