Philadelphia shoegaze band They Are Gutting a Body of Water<\/a> have announced a lengthy tour and a new album. Lotto<\/em><\/a>, their fourth studio LP, arrives October 17 (via Julia\u2019s War<\/a>\/Smoking Room<\/a>\/ATO<\/a>). Bolstering the record is new single \u201cTrainers<\/a>,\u201d which comes with a Ben Turok<\/a>\u2013directed video. Check it out below.<\/p>\n What began as the solo project of singer Doug Dulgarian has since been expanded into a proper four-piece, with bassist Emily Lofing, guitarist PJ Carroll, and drummer Ben Opatut joining the fold. Their new LP is billed as a step away from the digital collage work of 2022\u2019s Lucky Styles<\/em><\/a> and the compilation Swanlike (Loosies 2020 – 2023)<\/em><\/a>, with Dulgarian instead putting the emphasis on his guitar again\u2014as evidenced in \u201cTrainers\u201d and the previously released track \u201cAmerican Food<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n After releasing their new album, They Are Gutting a Body of Water head out on a lengthy North American tour. Beginning on October 30, in Cleveland, Ohio, they will make their way to major cities like Chicago, Denver, Vancouver, Los Angeles,Atlanta, Tornto, and more before ending the run on December 12 in their hometown of Philadelphia.
