\n\tIt\u2019s been more than a decade since Miley Cyrus<\/a> last embarked on a proper headlining tour<\/a>, and the musician insisted she has no plans to change that anytime soon.<\/p>\n \n\tSpeaking with Good Morning America<\/a><\/em>, Cyrus was frank about her decision not to hit the road in support of her latest album<\/a>, Something Beautiful<\/a><\/em>: \u201cI do have the physical ability, and I have the opportunity to tour \u2014 I wish I had the desire, but I don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tCyrus went on to note that many artists still lack a healthy and supportive infrastructure to help them deal with the rigors of the road. She specifically noted that it\u2019s \u201creally hard to maintain sobriety when you\u2019re on the road, which is a really important pillar<\/a> of stability in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAnd Cyrus discussed the mental toll that touring can take: \u201cNone of this that I create would ever be possible without the way that I think about things. And I do think it\u2019s really hard to keep mental wellness [while touring]. You have so many thousands of people screaming at you, so [there\u2019s] dopamine, you\u2019re feeling a lot of love and then you totally crash at the end of the show. You start thinking that one person loving you is not enough; it needs to be 10,000, it needs to be 80,000.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tCyrus\u2019 statements to GMA <\/em>echo the ones she made during her last album cycle<\/a> following the release of Endless Summer Vacation<\/a> <\/em>in 2023. Speaking with Vogue UK<\/em> at the time, Cyrus reflected on her last headlining trek, the 2014 Bangerz<\/a> <\/em>tour, saying, \u201cAfter the last [headline arena] show I did, I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can\u2019t. Not only can\u2019t, because can\u2019t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else\u2019s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?\u201d<\/p>\n
