David Byrne<\/a> has shared another selection from his forthcoming solo album, Who Is the Sky?<\/em><\/a> Inspired by Rebecca Solnit\u2019s essay collection Men Explain Things to Me<\/em>, \u201cShe Explains Things to Me<\/a>\u201d follows last month\u2019s lead single \u201cEverybody Laughs.\u201d Hear the new track below.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany times I have marveled at how a friend (usually a female friend) seems to clock what is going on in a film between characters way before I do,\u201d Byrne said in a press statement. \u201cSometimes I understand poetry, but sometimes I need help. Though inspired by the Solnit book Men Explain Things to Me<\/em> there is a huge difference\u2014mansplaining is usually unasked for, in this case I am the one asking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who Is the Sky?<\/em> is out September 5 via Matador<\/a>. It follows 2018\u2019s American Utopia<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
