As it turns out, the musician has been thinking a lot about these themes in the six years since his most recent studio album. The grief that comes with living, but also growing up, leaving home, and turning to music to make sense of it all works as the foundation of <em>Essex Honey, <\/em>the new album from Blood Orange, out August 29.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Blood Orange - Mind Loaded (Visualizer) ft. Hynes recently produced tracks for Lorde\u2019s new album <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-album-reviews\/lorde-virgin-review-1235373408\/\">Virgin<\/a><\/em>. He also contributed vocals on Turnstile\u2019s \u201cSeein\u2019 Stars,\u201d and the band\u2019s frontman Brendan Yates will repay the favor on <em>Essex Honey.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cMind Loaded\u201d arrives alongside \u201cSomewhere in Between,\u201d a solo entry from Hynes that repeats the mournful and pleading refrain, \u201cLight was just for hope and it\u2019s keeps flickering\/I just want to see again.\u201d The album artwork for <em>Essex Honey<\/em> calls back to the musician\u2019s upbringing just outside of London.
