Cleo Reed<\/a>, a multidisciplinary artist based in New York, has described Cuntry<\/em> as a \u201cfolk rap album that tells stories of American labor, empirical agenda, and intends to hold space for the working class.\u201d Reed added that the album deals with the body, \u201cparticularly the Black Femme body.\u201d Throughout the songs on Cuntry<\/em> you will hear collaborators such as billy woods, Isa Reyes, Elliott Skinner, Iwewe, Momo Boyd, Malaya, Harlem Farr, Matthew Jamal, and Kyle Kidd. Reed wrote and produced the entirety of Cuntry<\/em>.<\/p>\n Listen on Apple Music<\/a> Last year, Laura Jane Grace<\/a> went to Greece via an invitation from the Onassis Foundation<\/a>. The organization wanted her to transform a century-old Greek poem into a song for a documentary focusing on inmates and artistic expression. While abroad, Grace and a band of local punks visited ancient ruins, swam in the Aegean sea, and recorded the song \u201cWalls\u201d to satisfy their commitment to the foundation. The trip so inspired Grace that she returned six months later on a full residency with the Onassis Foundation and recorded her new album, Adventure Club<\/em>, with the same musicians she met on the previous trip. Joined by her wife and collaborator, Paris Campbell Grace, bassist Jacopo Fokas, and drummer Orestis Lagadinos, the outfit was dubbed: Laura Jane Grace in the Trauma Tropes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
