The complaint states that Tompkins, dated the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, between the 1990s and mid-2000s. They also share a son, Marquise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cJackson purchased these rights to preserve them for use in future biographical or autobiographical projects, but also in part because he was concerned that Tompkins would attempt to monetize their history and his name,\u201d reads the complaint, per <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/pro\/50-cent-lawsuit-ex-girlfriend-instagram-videos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Billboard<\/a><\/em>. \u201cHis concerns were ultimately proven correct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe lawsuit claims she was \u201ccontractually prohibited\u201d from using said information for financial gain, alleging that the videos had \u201cdiminish[ed] the value of the exclusive rights it acquired and undermin[ed] its ability to develop and market future works based on those rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe lawsuit seeks $1 million in damages and an injunction to force her to quit posting the videos and remove content related to Jackson that has already been posted.<\/p>\n<section class=\"brands-most-popular \/\/ recirculation-modules trending-in-article lrv-u-margin-tb-2 lrv-u-border-a-2 u-box-shadow-5-5 lrv-u-padding-lr-1 a-span1 u-padding-b-1@tablet u-overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 id=\"section-heading\" class=\"c-heading larva  lrv-u-text-align-center u-border-color-black a-font-theme-primary-xxs lrv-u-color-black lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase u-letter-spacing-0063 lrv-u-padding-t-050 u-padding-b-0375@tablet lrv-u-padding-b-050@mobile-max lrv-u-border-b-2\">\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tTompkins and a rep for Jackson did not immediately respond to <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s request for comment. However, the artist <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DMO0eSgprCG\/\">addressed<\/a> the lawsuit by posting a screengrab from TMZ and attacked his ex\u2019s appearance: \u201cI didn\u2019t realize how much she looks like me, girl you handsome with them baby hairs,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThis marks 50\u2019s second lawsuit in the past few months. In April, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/50-cent-sues-horror-film-producers-1235325175\/\">sued the producers<\/a> of an upcoming horror film <em>Skillhouse<\/em>, claiming he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/50-cent-sues-horror-film-producers-1235325175\/\">never paid<\/a> for his role.\u00a0The lawsuit alleges that Jackson agreed to film his scenes in\u00a0<em>Skillhouse<\/em>\u00a0before finalizing and signing off on his contract, as he assumed he and producers would eventually work out a deal.
