{"id":41532,"date":"2025-07-21T17:44:31","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T17:44:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/21\/dead-company-announce-imax-screening-of-60th-anniversary-show\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T17:44:31","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T17:44:31","slug":"dead-company-announce-imax-screening-of-60th-anniversary-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/21\/dead-company-announce-imax-screening-of-60th-anniversary-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Dead &#038; Company Announce IMAX Screening of 60th Anniversary Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Next month, <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/dead-and-company\/\">Dead &amp; Company<\/a> will perform <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/dead-and-company-grateful-dead-60th-anniversary-shows\/\">three shows <\/a>in San Francisco&#8217;s Golden Gate Park in celebration of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/grateful-dead\/\">Grateful Dead<\/a>\u2019s 60th anniversary. The last of those shows, set to take place on Aug. 3, will be shown in IMAX theaters.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 30 movie theaters across the U.S. and Canada will stream the concert live. <a href=\"https:\/\/ymlptr9.net\/71f6ajuybueaxaeqewmarajqjaoaejwsy\/click.php\" target=\"_blank\">Tickets<\/a> are available now, with each purchase accompanied by a commemorative poster and a laminate\/lanyard, which will be distributed onsite.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Dead &amp; Company, there will be special guest sets for each of the three concerts. On Aug. 1, Billy Strings will perform, followed by\u00a0Sturgill Simpson on Aug. 2. and the Trey Anastasio Band on Aug. 3.<\/p>\n<h3>Are These the Last Dead and Company Concerts?<\/h3>\n<p>Dead &amp; Company recently completed a <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/dead-and-company-2025-sphere-set-list-video\/\">residency<\/a> at the Sphere in Las Vegas, and at present, the Golden Gate Park shows are the only concerts the band has scheduled. Back in 2023, they&#8217;d announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/why-is-dead-and-company-done-touring\/\">farewell tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/bob-weir\/\">Bob Weir<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/bob-weir-grateful-dead-future\/\">spoke<\/a> with<em> Rolling Stone<\/em> about the future of the band, noting that there had been talk in regards to himself, bassist\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/phil-lesh\/\">Phil Lesh<\/a>, and drummers Bill\u00a0Kreutzmann and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/mickey-hart\/\">Mickey Hart<\/a>\u00a0reuniting for the Grateful Dead&#8217;s 60th anniversary. And that was the intriguing prospect,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I think you need somebody holding down the bottom. Phil had all kinds of ideas that were pretty much unique to him.
