But the wait is over: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/lindsey-buckingham\/\" id=\"auto-tag_lindsey-buckingham\" data-tag=\"lindsey-buckingham\">Lindsey Buckingham<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/stevie-nicks\/\" id=\"auto-tag_stevie-nicks\" data-tag=\"stevie-nicks\">Stevie Nicks<\/a> will finally reissue their 1973 album, <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" data-id=\"https:\/\/bn.lnk.to\/BNAlbum\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/bn.lnk.to\/BNAlbum\">Buckingham Nicks<\/a><\/em>, on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe first and only album from the longtime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/fleetwood-mac\/\" id=\"auto-tag_fleetwood-mac\" data-tag=\"fleetwood-mac\">Fleetwood Mac<\/a> bandmates\/exes has been out of print for decades and never reissued, until now. It\u2019s been sourced from the original analog tapes and pressed in a variety of colors on vinyl. When the album flopped, they were dropped by Polydor.\u00a0Nicks began working at a Beverly Hills restaurant called Clementine\u2019s, until\u00a0<em>Buckingham Nicks<\/em>\u00a0producer Keith Olsen played the album for\u00a0Mick Fleetwood \u2014 and the rest is history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201c[We] knew what we had as a duo, two songwriters that sang really well together. And it was a very natural thing, from the beginning,\u201d Nicks tells <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> contributor David Fricke in the liner notes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cIt stands up in a way you hope it would, by these two kids who were pretty young to be doing that work,\u201d Buckingham added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t<em>Buckingham Nicks (Rhino High Fidelity)<\/em> is limited to 5,000 copies, with a special edition of 2,000 copies that includes a replica of two 7-inch singles: \u201cCrying in the Night\u201d b\/w \u201cStephanie\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Let Me Down Again\u201d b\/w \u201cRaces Are Run.\u201d In addition, the album will be available digitally and on CD, as well as on vinyl from select retailers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn December 2012, Buckingham and Nicks <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/qa-stevie-nicks-and-lindsey-buckingham-reveal-lingering-tensions-in-fleetwood-mac-233617\/\">spoke to <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> about the album and the possibility of a tour behind it, which fans have spent years hoping for. The interviews were conducted separately over the phone, about a week apart, with Nicks revealing that they\u2019d recently recorded an outtake from the 1973 album that got \u201cbrushed under the carpet\u201d all those years ago. \u201cNext year is the 40th anniversary of\u00a0<em>Buckingham Nicks<\/em>, and we\u2019re hoping next year to get the record out,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cPeople have been waiting forever. Fleetwood Mac is totally good with us doing that. I know there\u2019s a market for it \u2026 I think something elevated happens with the two of us and there\u2019s an interest in that \u2026 It\u2019s a bit of an intangible. But I\u2019ve been saying that for years.
