\n\tAn Ohio woman is suing Card B with claims the rapper overreacted and \u201cforcefully\u201d threw a microphone at her in retaliation for the \u201csmall portion\u201d of a drink that the woman splashed onstage during a concert two years ago. The woman says the incident, which was investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department<\/a> but did not result in any criminal charges against Cardi B<\/a>, caused her \u201csevere emotional distress, shock, humiliation, and physical injury.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn the new 16-page complaint obtained by Rolling Stone<\/em>, the Jane Doe plaintiff says she was on a solo trip to Nevada to see the Grammy-winning \u201cBodak Yellow\u201d singer perform when the incident that was caught on video<\/a> from multiple angles<\/a> unfolded at Drai\u2019s Beach Club on July 29, 2023. The woman says Cardi B was onstage amid \u201cvisibly high-temperature conditions\u201d and \u201cverbally requested that the audience splash her with water.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to the lawsuit, Cardi B \u201cimplicitly\u201d authorized \u201clight splashing from drinks\u201d and poured water from a bottle over her own body before striking a pose. \u201cWooh that [expletive] feel good,\u201d the rapper allegedly said as concertgoers threw various liquids toward the stage, the filing alleges.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cActing in accordance with the environment created by Cardi B\u2019s express words and conduct, and in a manner consistent with other attendees, [Jane Doe] splashed a small portion of her drink in Cardi B\u2019s direction,\u201d the new filing states. \u201cIn apparent anger and without warning,\u201d Cardi B then \u201caggressively and intentionally launched\u201d her microphone \u201cdirectly\u201d at Jane Doe, striking and injuring her, the lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n \n\tThe plaintiff and her lawyers allege the \u201cI Like It\u201d rapper knew or should have known that \u201cthe water-throwing conduct\u201d she purportedly invited posed little threat of physical injury compared to chucking \u201ca dense and blunt object,\u201d such as a microphone. They also allege that shortly after the incident, the microphone was put up for auction by its owner, an event that \u201cfurther publicized the incident and exacerbated plaintiff\u2019s emotional distress.\u201d<\/p>\n
