\n\tA new singing competition show is coming to TikTok<\/a> Live. Rolling Stone<\/em> can exclusively reveal that TikTok will partner up with iHeartRadio<\/a> to launch Next Up: Live Music<\/em>, a competition show solely on TikTok Live through September.<\/p>\n \n\tContestants will participate in competition phases and advance through rounds based on viewer engagement on TikTok and judges\u2019 scores. Artists with more likes, views, comments, shares, and strong feedback from judges will advance to rounds.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cTikTok LIVE gives fans the power to engage directly, support their favorite performers, and truly shape their journey to success,\u201d said TikTok executive Shen Gao in a press release. \u201cTikTok has long been a launchpad for musical talent, helping undiscovered artists break through and reach global audiences. Together with iHeartRadio, Next Up: LIVE Music is building on that legacy by turning discovery into a shared, real-time experience.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn order to enter, contestants must be U.S. residents over 18, own rights to one original song, have at least 50,000 followers, and be unsigned to a major label or have clearance by the label to compete.<\/p>\n
