Avery Tucker<\/a>, formerly one half of the indie-rock band Girlpool<\/a>, has announced his debut solo album: Paw<\/em><\/a> is out October 10. He\u2019s shared the new single \u201cLike I\u2019m Young<\/a>,\u201d too, and it comes with a Nick Vernet<\/a>\u2013directed video of Tucker performing the song while stuck in a barren room with a dog. Check it out below.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Like I\u2019m Young\u2019 is probably one of the most emotionally raw songs I\u2019ve ever written,\u201d Tucker said in a statement. \u201cThere are lines in the song I remember writing and thinking \u2018I won\u2019t keep this in.\u2019 I decided to take this song to the edge of myself at the time, and whenever I play the song live I walk alongside that cliff within me and feel the height.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cLike I\u2019m Young\u201d is the second song to be shared from Paw<\/em>, following \u201cBig Drops<\/a>.\u201d The 11-track LP was co-produced with Alaska Reid and recorded between Livingston, Montana, and Encino, California. Joining Tucker on Paw<\/em> are Muna\u2019s Katie Gavin (singing on \u201cAngel\u201d), Porches\u2019 Aaron Maine (singing and producing \u201cBaby Broke\u201d), and A. G. Cook (producing \u201cMy Life Isn\u2019t Leaving You\u201d).<\/p>\n Girlpool, the Los Angeles\u2013based duo of Tucker and Harmony Tividad<\/a>, broke up<\/a> in 2022, a few months after releasing what would become their fourth and final album, Forgiveness<\/em><\/a>.
