Police in London confirmed multiple charges against Paul Gallagher on Monday<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\n\tThe older brother of Oasis<\/a> founders Liam and Noel Gallagher<\/a> has been charged with rape, three counts of sexual assault and other violent offenses, police in Britain confirm to Rolling Stone<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tPaul Gallagher, 59, was charged by Scotland Yard following an investigation that started last year, a spokesperson with London\u2019s Metropolitan Police Service said in an email on Monday.<\/p>\n \n\tThe charges also include allegations of coercive and controlling behavior, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and assault resulting in \u201cactual bodily harm,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n \n\tGallagher, who lives in the East Finchley district of north London, is due to appear in Westminster Magistrates\u2019 Court on Aug. 27. \u201cThe offenses are reported to have taken place between 2022 [and] 2024,\u201d the police spokesperson said. \u201cA woman is being supported by specially-trained officers.\u201d<\/p>\n
