Legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan<\/a>‘s recent death<\/a> could mean the end of\u00a0Hooters<\/a> restaurants all across America.<\/p>\n Back in March of 2025, Hooters<\/a> filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy<\/a> and started to close down their\u00a0underperforming locations<\/a>.<\/p>\n As the future of Hooters was uncertain, Hogan’s beer company, Real American Beer<\/a>, expressed interest in buying\u00a0up all of the Hooters restaurants and\u00a0bringing the brand back to life.<\/p>\n Real American Beer was already a staple at Hooters locations nationwide \u2014 they were the first big chain to sell it \u2014 so the purchase seemed feasible.<\/p>\n But right as this was about to take shape, Hogan (real name Terry\u00a0Bollea) died, so\u00a0<\/span>Real American Beer is left without a co-founder. <\/span><\/p>\n Their intention to\u00a0continue with the Hooters purchase is uncertain.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Takeout<\/a>, because of federal liquor laws that outlaw alcohol companies from owning restaurants, Real American Beer would have some hoops to jump through.<\/p>\n That’s never stopped anyone. All they would need to do is create a sister company that is not tied to alcohol and purchase it under that umbrella.<\/p>\n Hooters has been around since 1983, when it was formed by five buddies\u00a0who had zero experience in the restaurant business.<\/p>\n However, they knew what sells, and that’s scantily-clad servers.<\/p>\n The restaurant has found many hurdles to jump through over the years, mainly discrimination lawsuits and sexual harassment claims, but has maintained\u00a0its branding and purpose.<\/p>\n The future is uncertain for Hogan’s Real American Beer \u2014 he owned half of the company \u2014 and for Hooters as they\u00a0attempt to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.<\/p>\n According to Hooters, they will emerge from bankruptcy in August of 2025, and “restaurants remain open, welcoming customers to enjoy its guest-obsessed hospitality and world-famous wings.”<\/p>\n Police say that Hogan died from a heart attack on July 24.
