Hayley Williams<\/a> of Paramore<\/a> has released 17 new songs today as a surprise. The tracks are not yet described as being part of a specific project or upcoming album, but she did upload them in one go to her website, hayleywilliams.net<\/a>, behind a password-protected prompt. To receive the password, fans must purchase the new \u201cEgo<\/a>\u201d shade of semi-permanent hair dye from Williams\u2019 company Good Dye Young<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 17 songs Williams uploaded appear to be proper studio recordings spanning pop, indie rock, folk, alt-rock, and more. Track titles include \u201cKill Me,\u201d \u201cNegative Self Talk,\u201d and \u201cDiscovery Channel\u201d \u2013\u00a0the latter of which interpolates Bloodhound Gang\u2019s 1999 single \u201cThe Bad Touch.\u201d At least one of Williams\u2019 songs, \u201cMirtazapine,\u201d aired on Nashville public radio station WNXP<\/a> last week and got its live debut<\/a> during Bleachers\u2019 set at Newport Folk Festival this past weekend, during which Williams made a surprise appearance.<\/p>\n In addition to the songs, Williams\u2019 website also includes a folder labeled \u201cMisc.\u201d Inside are images of a t-shirt reading \u201cHayley Williams Is My Favorite Band\u201d (a play on Paramore\u2019s merch<\/a>), a picture of lyrics scrawled in a coloring book, a live video of the band Phoenix, and a voice note of a child saying, \u201cI\u2019m sorry that you\u2019re going through something hard!\u201d<\/p>\n Back in 2020, Williams released her debut solo album Petals for Armor<\/em><\/a> and the three-track Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades<\/em> EP<\/a>.
