Up-and-coming metal megastars <\/span>Deadlands <\/span><\/b>released a brand-new, extraordinary EP last month.<\/span><\/p>\n Seven <\/span><\/i>follows themes of trauma, anxiety, stress and does so by using themes of the seven deadly sins. An all-around creative concept, with music that does not disappoint. Melodic verses, with heavy choruses and intense breakdowns.<\/span><\/p>\n The EP is full of passionate energy and serves as an emotional output. There are areas so dreamy, you\u2019re removed from the real world and areas so heavy that you\u2019re too enthralled to care. There\u2019s relatability in the lyrics, and this is honestly one of the best releases that I\u2019ve heard this year.<\/span><\/p>\n Villain <\/span><\/i>was a great song to begin with. I was immediately feeling the energy that <\/span>Deadlands <\/span><\/b>bring to the table, and dancing along to the chorus. <\/span>Limbo <\/span><\/i>is probably my favourite of them, just for being the most unique. It was just a\u00a0softer, more celestial sound, but without losing the heaviness. <\/span>House of Cards<\/span><\/i> is a strong end, though. Finishing the EP with wrath worked, as it feels like one last, big release.<\/span><\/p>\n Although there wasn\u2019t one bad track, these were just my favourites.<\/span><\/p>\n I always feel like metal is better live, so being so excited by this EP\u2026 I <\/span>need <\/span><\/i>to experience this in person. This was the sound that I needed right now, so I hope that <\/span>Deadlands <\/span><\/b>come to the UK soon.<\/span><\/p>\n
