Jerskin Fendrix<\/a>, the cult musician who sprung from London\u2019s indie scene to international renown via his work with Yorgos Lanthimos<\/a>, has reunited with the director and Emma Stone for a new video. Having scored Poor Things<\/em><\/a>, Kinds of Kindness<\/em><\/a>, and Lanthimos\u2019 forthcoming movie Bugonia<\/em><\/a>, Fendrix is preparing to release his new album, Once Upon a Time\u2026 in Shropshire<\/em><\/a>, on October 10, via Untitled (Recs)<\/a>. From it comes \u201cBeth\u2019s Farm<\/a>,\u201d with the six-minute video below. In the short, Fendrix plays a farmer who unearths strange goings-on around the grounds, and, joined by Stone, sets in motion some even stranger goings-on to resolve them.<\/p>\n In a statement, Lanthimos said, \u201cIt was lovely to team up again with Emma and a number of people that we have been working with for quite a while to contribute a bit of film narrative to what I think is a remarkable second personal album by our very important artistic collaborator and friend, Jerskin Fendrix.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBeth\u2019s Farm,\u201d released with the album announcement last month, is the opener of Once Upon a Time\u2026 in Shropshire<\/em>. The album follows Fendrix\u2019s 2020 debut, Winterreise<\/em><\/a>. He\u2019s described it as \u201c10 folk songs about life and death in the\u00a0countryside,\u201d and its title refers to his English home country.<\/p>\n Bugonia<\/em> will premiere at Venice Film Festival<\/a> next month. The movie, starring Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone, hits theaters on Friday, October 24.<\/p>\n
