Wylde started playing with Osbourne in 1987 and continued to perform and record with him at regular intervals over the decades. Even when they weren\u2019t working together, Wylde and Osbourne remained close friends.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cOz was just the best,\u201d Wylde said. \u201cI have my father, who was a World War II veteran; and then Ozzy, who was almost like an older brother. There was almost a 20-year age gap between us. With our relationship, there was the fun drinking \u2013 but if I ever needed advice, I could talk to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWylde then joked: \u201cThere were issues on how to drink and how not to drink. You know, the important factors in life!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWylde was part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ozzy-osbourne-final-performance-paranoid-1235391423\/\">Osbourne\u2019s all-star farewell concert<\/a> earlier this month in Birmingham, England. That was the last time he saw Osbourne, but Wylde also admitted it was a bit too hectic for the two to get any quality time together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cEverybody and their mother were in the backstage dressing room and I just wanted to give him a break,\u201d Wylde said. \u201cI figured we\u2019d see him later on \u2014 the next day or whatever. But no. The last text I got from Oz was saying, \u2018Zakky, sorry, it was like a madhouse back there. I was like, \u2018I gotta get near the microphone,\u2019 so I had to almost stop playing, lift the guitar up and put it over the mic. It was like juggling balls or chainsaws while being on a skateboard! It was actually pretty funny \u2014 but it was business as usual. It\u2019s supposed to be the most important show ever, but everything\u2019s on the fly!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tFrom the beginning, Wylde said, he and Osbourne had serious chemistry. \u201cLions attract lions,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd the hyenas you hang out with, that sorts itself out later! But Ozzy was the easiest-going, warmest guy.
