The two linked up on Bieber\u2019s latest album, <em>Swag<\/em>, which he surprise-released earlier this month. On the album\u2019s title track, Cobain\u2019s signature triplet cadence sits along Bieber\u2019s silky, vintage R&amp;B-infused vocals like a match made in heaven.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tLike with all things Bieber as of late, it all starts on Instagram, where he first caught the attention of Cash Cobain after posting his song \u201cTrippin on a Yacht\u201d to his page. \u201cEverybody would just send me that shit, so I just followed bro and I wrote, \u2018Now we got to work. We got to get something in,\u2019\u201d Cobain says via Zoom a few days after <em>Swag<\/em>\u2019s release. \u201cHe was like, \u2018All right, bet. Definitely got to do it, I fuck with your shit.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhile it\u2019s not uncommon for artists, especially producers, to get these kinds of \u201clet\u2019s do something\u201d DMs from artists, Bieber, in fact, followed through. After the two exchanged numbers, they chatted about music back and forth until, one day, Bieber was in New York and reached out to Cobain to work. \u201dI pulled up on him. He\u2019s at his crib with a couple of people there. We had like, a laptop, speakers, and instruments in this circle,\u201d Cobain recalls. \u201cWe was just vibing and shit. A couple of musicians and a couple of other people was there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhat was it like in the studio with Bieber? \u201cThat nigga\u2019s a movie,\u201d Cobain says. \u201cHe was just doing ideas. I never got to really see him really locked in, like, on some <em>Justin Bieber<\/em> shit.
