On Wednesday, the musician announced that she\u2019ll release her self-produced sophomore album, <em>Vendr\u00e1n Suaves Lluvias<\/em>, on Oct. 17. She also previewed the project with the orchestral single, \u201cDime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201c<em>Vendr\u00e1n Suaves Lluvias<\/em> is the album I\u2019ve been working on for the past two or three years,\u201d Estrada said in a press release. \u201cThe songs were born little by little, some since the pandemic, others more recently. It encompasses my search to find myself and my vital energy. This project was born from trying to turn discomfort into hope, from not stopping to see the light despite the rage.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dime\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sQ9s55kGwjo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tEstrada wrote the new project, whose title translates to <em>Soft Rain Will Come<\/em>, after facing \u201ccreative and emotional roadblocks,\u201d a traumatic injury, and the murder of a close friend. As she dealt with those tribulations, the singer stepped away from music to prioritize her well-being before ultimately reconnecting with her intuition. She wrote the album in Montr\u00e9al, Barcelona, and Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cWhen I found that space again, it became clear that I was the only person who could produce this album,\u201d Estrada said of the record. \u201cThe entire experience was like a rebirth, where I made it through so much loss and pain and then came out the other side with a new understanding of how to face reality with grace and hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThursday\u2019s new single also featured orchestral arrangements by Owen Pallett, whiel the rest of the record features arrangements from Roberto Ver\u00e1stegui. The album follows her previously released tracks \u201cLila Alel\u00ed\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/silvana-estrada-como-un-pajaro-1235350191\/\">C\u00f3mo un P\u00e1jaro<\/a>.\u201d The album marks her first album since 2022\u2019s <em>Marchita<\/em>, which featured \u201cCarta\u201d and \u201cSer de Ti.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThe freedom to choose the sounds I wanted initially terrified me, it seemed like an immense and impossible place to begin,\u201d Estrada said. \u201cBut when I allowed myself to listen attentively to my instincts and embraced that freedom, a sincere and transparent world slowly began to form.
