The British singer released her latest mixtape, Fancy That<\/em>, in May<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tPinkPantheress<\/a> made her TV debut last night, appearing on The Tonight Show<\/a><\/em> to perform a dance-ready medley of three of her songs. With the help of a DJ and a group of backup dancers, the British musician showcased a lively mash-up of \u201cIllegal,\u201d \u201cGirl Like Me,\u201d and \u201cTonight.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAll three songs come off PinkPantheress\u2019 most recent mixtape, Fancy That<\/em><\/a>, which arrived on May 9. It marked her first major release in two years, following her 2023 debut album,\u00a0Heaven Knows<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0The 10-track mixtape notably sampled Panic! at the Disco\u2019s song \u201cDo You Know What I\u2019m Seeing?\u201d on \u201cTonight.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cSampling is funny because everyone has their opinions about it. Some people think it\u2019s stealing or unoriginal, which is something I dealt with a lot when I was starting,\u201d the musician told\u00a0MixMag<\/a><\/em>. \u201cBut for me sampling is my way of sharing a love for something and reinterpreting it. I would only sample something I love, I would never sample something for the thought of it having nostalgia-bait or whatever reason. I do it because I want to reinterpret something I love to different audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n
