Last night (July 30), Justin Timberlake<\/a> played the final show<\/a> of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour<\/a>. In a statement<\/a> shared on social media, the pop star reflected on the tour and also revealed that he has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. \u201cIf you\u2019ve experienced this disease or know someone who has \u2014 then you\u2019re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,\u201d he wrote. \u201cWhen I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out,\u201d Timberlake continued. \u201cI decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I\u2019m so glad I kept going.\u201d<\/p>\n Timberlake began his tour in April 2024, shortly after the release of his comeback album Everything I Thought It Was<\/em><\/a>, and the 15-month endeavor saw him play over 100 shows. The musician dealt with health issues throughout the trek, postponing and canceling concerts due to the flu<\/a>, a back injury<\/a>, and bronchitis and laryngitis<\/a>. In his new statement, Timberlake called the tour \u201cthe most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding, and, at times, grueling experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
