\n\tIt\u2019s been two years since Chappell Roan<\/a> dropped her debut LP, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess<\/em>, and she\u2019s kept her fans satiated since that time with the singles \u201cGood Luck, Babe!,\u201d<\/a> \u201cThe Giver,\u201d<\/a> and \u201cThe Subway.\u201d<\/a> But in a new interview with Vogue<\/em>,<\/a> Roan revealed that her long-awaited second album isn\u2019t even close to ready.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThe second project doesn\u2019t exist yet,\u201d she said. \u201cThere is no album. There is no collection of songs\u2026It took me five years to write the first one, and it\u2019s probably going to take at least five to write the next.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tShe understands that some fans are frustrated, but she needs them to understand that she has to work at her own pace. \u201cI\u2019m not that type of writer that can pump it out,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t think I make good music whenever I force myself to do anything. I see some comments sometimes, like, \u2018She\u2019s everywhere except that damn studio.\u2019 Even if I was in the studio 12 hours a day, every single day, that does not mean that you would get an album any faster.\u201d<\/p>\n
