They even had fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-features\/patti-harrison-meet-the-trans-comedian-making-fart-jokes-an-act-of-resistance-196357\/\">comedian Patti Harrison<\/a> introduce the performance in a full \u201clady in red\u201d get-up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tYang and Rogers started the Culture Awards in 2022, spinning off the awards show send-up\/tribute from their hit podcast, <em>Las Culturistas<\/em>. The first three iterations of the Culture Awards were held as a live-only show in New York City, but a more amped-up affair was held this year in Los Angeles after Bravo secured the TV rights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe categories for the \u201cCultch Awards\u201d themselves are absurdly broad and irreverent, running the gamut from vaguely legitimate (\u201cBest New Artist\u201d) to completely nonsensical (\u201cEva Longoria award for tiny woman, huge impact\u201d). The nominees are similarly silly. For instance, Best New Artist found two <em>SNL<\/em> characters \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-features\/domingo-bridesmaid-snl-espresso-ariana-grande-1235137572\/\">Domingo<\/a> and Miss Eggy \u2014 competing against Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-features\/eva-victor-sorry-baby-interview-1235353482\/\"><em>Sorry, Baby <\/em>filmmaker Eva Victor<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/tv-movies\/tv-movie-features\/traitors-season-3-winners-interview-1235292081\/\">reality star Gabby Windey<\/a> (who won).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tTo that end, \u201cAbracadabra\u201d was one of the five nominees for Record of the Year, a category that, for the most part, comprised songs released within a respectable \u201cRecord of the Year\u201d timeframe: \u201cAbracadabra,\u201d Addison Rae\u2019s \u201cDiet Pepsi,\u201d Jensen Mcrae\u2019s \u201cMassachusetts,\u201d and Remi Wolf\u2019s \u201cSoup.\u201d The outlier was Aerosmith\u2019s 1998 ballad, \u201cI Don\u2019t Want to Miss a Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<section class=\"brands-most-popular \/\/ recirculation-modules trending-in-article lrv-u-margin-tb-2 lrv-u-border-a-2 u-box-shadow-5-5 lrv-u-padding-lr-1 a-span1 u-padding-b-1@tablet u-overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 id=\"section-heading\" class=\"c-heading larva  lrv-u-text-align-center u-border-color-black a-font-theme-primary-xxs lrv-u-color-black lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase u-letter-spacing-0063 lrv-u-padding-t-050 u-padding-b-0375@tablet lrv-u-padding-b-050@mobile-max lrv-u-border-b-2\">\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAll five nominees were performed at the Culture Awards. Ben Platt did a dramatic, slowed-down rendition of \u201cDiet Pepsi,\u201d while both McRae and Wolf were on hand to perform their songs. Yang and Rogers returned to the stage to give \u201cI Don\u2019t Want to Miss a Thing\u201d its due, using the track for the \u201cIn Absentia\u201d segment honoring those who had \u201cpassed\u201d \u2014 not died \u2014 but passed on attending the Culture Awards.
